The Olympic-bound badminton team, led by Lee Chong Wei, admiring the special racquet presented to them by Maybank president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Wahid Omar at Menara Maybank in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
The names and well wishes of 44,215 Malaysians were nano-etched onto the racquet strings by the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
Apart from Chong Wei, the players present attheceremonyweremen’sdoublesKooKien Keat-Tan Boon Heong, mixed doubles Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying and women’s singles Tee Jing Yi.
